Project overview

Context

This concept explored how a connected practice platform could support daily clinical and administrative work without forcing every user into the same dashboard.

The challenge

Clinical information is dense, sensitive, and highly interconnected. The experience needed to support operational speed while keeping critical context and compliance-aware documentation visible.

Constraints

Three distinct user groups, sensitive records, interconnected workflows, responsive use, and logic informed by Mexico’s NOM-004 requirements.

Key decisions

Decisions that connected experience with operations.

  1. 01

Structured the product around real clinic tasks rather than a generic feature inventory.

  2. 02

Separated doctor, administrator, and patient permissions while keeping records consistent.

  3. 03

Designed appointment, record, dashboard, and clinical-documentation concepts as one system.

  4. 04

Used progressive disclosure to reduce cognitive load without hiding important medical context.

Reflection

The strongest design move was to treat permissions, context, and documentation as one information problem—not as separate screens.
